Welcome to a truly vintage Poppy fabric. This will never be re-prodced - once it is gone, it is gone. Polar Bear is printed on a cotton twill, making lovely thick oilcloth. Oilcloth is a pvc-coated fabric, meaning it is fully wipeable, great for under high charis or for tablecloths, picnic tables, play mats, you name it. The border runs up each side of the fabric, so, for example, if you had it on a table, the polar bears would run down each side of the table. They are continuous, so no matter how much you order they will carry on running along the hem of the fabric on both sides. This makes it a very striking fabric and especially great for Christmas.

This hand-knitted 100% cotton hooded cardigan by Poppy comes in three colours. red, cream and blue. The cardigans are cosy and comfortable. Made from 100% cotton and machine washable, they have been designed and made to withstand messy meal times and grubby mitts. We like children to get as much wear out of their favourite Poppy clothes as possible, so our hooded cardigans have been designed with extra length in the arms (that can be turned up) so as the child grows, the cardigan grows, too. Our knitwear is made high up in the Himalayas and we provide a valuable source of income for women who work at home while bringing up their children.

We design the fabric ourselves, print it in the North-West and sew them up in North Yorkshire. This way, you know your getting something truly British. Little girls just love little bags and it is the perfect way to finish off an outfit. A great place to put spare shoes, pens and pencils and, of course, one of our colouring books to match. We have designed the bags to take the storybook, colouring book and a set of colour-in cards to make a lovely and unusual present to occupy little hands and minds.

Designed to go under our dresses, these petticoats are also great on their own, or as a little tutu or skirt. Our dresses are quite long, so buy big rather than small if you would like them to go underneath the dresses, or small if you prefer the idea of them being a little tutu. Each petticoat has a big sash on the front. Along with the elasticated waist, this helps to pull it in to fit any size child. These petticoats are soft and full.Great fun and easy to wear, they make a great dress into a brilliant dress. There are not many left, so be quick if you would like one!

This is any girl's dream party dress. Made from our lovely 100% cotton twill, the fabric is a heavier weight than the summer cotton. Made from two half circles, just like the great 50s dresses, it is great for twizzling. Each Rosa dress comes with a sewn-in cotton voile petticoat to give a double layered look. It is designed to sit just below the knee and has a sash at the back so that the dress actually starts off wide and pulls in to fit, which makes sure that it will fit for longer than just one season.For extra good twirling, try putting one of our petticoats undreneath ... they make this dress look great !

This is one of the most traditional dresses that we make and nearly two metres of fabric goes into each skirt. This is a Sunday best dress, with its puff sleeves, swirly skirt and pull-in-at-the-waist sash. Like many of our dresses, it is designed to fit and flatter all shapes and sizes. It starts off wide with ample of room, it then pulls in to fit neatly at the back. Each dress comes with a little storybook which tells you what Poppy and Fred are up to on the illustrations around the hem of the dress. Nearly all of our clothing is made in the UK.
